ystudio Classic Renaissance Yakihaku Portable Ballpoint Pen – Limited Edition
Unryūhaku is a Japanese flat-foil technique, and Kohei Murata of Rakugei applies it to each of these pens by hand. No two surfaces come out the same.
What you get is a dark, cloudy finish with aged silver foil moving through it, shifting as the light does. Underneath is solid brass — 34g in a short portable body, which gives it real presence for its size. Fitted with a 0.7mm ystudio gel refill, and it takes standard Parker-type refills, so it will still be writing long after the original runs out.

Parker-compatible refills remove the usual objection to a pen at this price. The ballpoint is the accessible entry to the Yakihaku collaboration; the fountain pen sits well above it.
