Gold nibs flex very slightly under the hand in a way steel does not, which is what people mean when they talk about a pen writing softly. This one is ystudio's own design, made in Germany, in Fine. The body is solid brass at 34g, balanced rather than heavy, and the dark foil surface is different on every pen made.
