Yamamoto Paper Tomoegawa Tomoe River A5 Writing Pad [Plain]

Tomoe River at 52gsm — the thinnest paper most people will ever write on deliberately, and the one with a reputation no other stock has matched.

It is close to tissue in the hand, yet ink does not feather and barely strikes through. What it does instead is shade and sheen: colours pool at the end of a stroke and throw metallic highlights that simply do not appear on ordinary paper. 200 sheets in an A5 pad, which is a great deal of it. A guideline sheet is included to slip beneath the plain pages.

Trade notes

Tomoe River is the single most requested paper in the fountain pen world and supply has been uncertain for years — stock it while it is available and expect it to move without promotion. 200 sheets at A5 is a serious quantity; this is a destination purchase, not an impulse.
