Takeo MOTTAINAI Memo Block

When one of Takeo's fine papers is discontinued, whatever is left of it does not go to waste. The remaining sheets are cut down and bound into these memo blocks — which is why every edition carries a number, and why no edition is ever made twice.

Each block holds 150 sheets: fifty each of three different papers, so the edge of the block shows three colours stacked together. At 90 by 90 millimetres it sits on a desk or beside a phone. Which papers you get depends on which edition is current.

Trade notes

In production since 1996 and the best-known Takeo line. Editions are genuinely limited — once an edition sells through it is not remade, which supports repeat visits and collecting behaviour. Order editions as available rather than expecting continuity.
