Sikigu Zigzag Paper Storage Bin

A deep open bin folded into a zigzag, where the pleating is what makes it rigid. There is no frame inside it — the shape is the structure.

A locking construction holds the form under load, and the folds throw shadows that change as you move around it. Use it for throws, slippers, toys or anything else that needs a home rather than a cupboard; it also makes an unusually handsome waste bin. Ships flat at under 4cm deep. Three colours.

Trade notes

Ships flat at 3.7cm and assembles to 26cm tall — an unusually good carriage-to-presence ratio, so it is cheap to stock for the floor space it fills. Assemble one for display and keep the rest flat. Crosses into homeware, so it need not sit in stationery.
