The Iris drawn up to board size. The same aperture mechanism opens to circles between 5 and 120mm, on a body heavy enough to sit flat on the paper and stay exactly where you put it through a long drawing.
One twist sets the diameter and it holds while you draw, so concentric circles and repeated sizes come out consistent without swapping tools or resetting a compass. Solid brass, with stainless steel leaves and a dark walnut centring tool. At a kilogram it has real presence on a desk — this is a studio piece rather than something to carry about.
